Looks really good. Cannot wait to get moved up there so I can attend. Looking forward to learning more about the market.

  4. Sulphur Springs is a good place to live. The market, yesterday, was ROCKIN’! The merchants were SO busy and the street was FULL.

I overheard several folks say they had to take the bags to their cars before they could buy anymore. I love it!

We need volunteers to help folks carry the goodies, “Veggie Valets”.
(I didn’t come up with that on my own, many farmers’ market provide the service to their shoppers.)

  5. The downtown area was buzzing yesterday. The spa did alot of tours and sold some off the sale table out front. We are always glad to see people moving about on a Saturday downtown. I could not leave to shop around the corner,a good thing, I will have to go early next week.

  6. Yeah Susan! Being too busy to leave the shop IS a Good Thing!
The market is ready for shoppers at 8 a.m. so you can definitely walk over before opening the spa.

    We’ll see you next Saturday!

I love the farmers market. It is wonderful to live in small town USA again. I’m from a small town in AR, and wouldn’t live anywhere else. Keep up the good work.

Great time was had by all at the Kids Bake at the Market on October 9! The muffins were yummy, the kids learned a lot, and the by-passers looked longingly in our direction as the aroma of fresh-baked muffins wafted in the air. The recipes we used are available at the Texas AgriLife Extension Office in Sulphur Springs.

Piney Woods Ranch is hosting a free event showing the movie Fresh (www.fresh.org). This movie is not available in theaters. We will also have local farmers and food producers on hand. You will learn about the food industry in America today and how and where you can buy local products. Please email pineywoodsranch@yahoo.com for a flyer with time, date, and location. If any Sulpher Springs local vendor would like to have a table please contact us also.
