Seasoned Rice

Johanna Hicks from Hopkins County Texas AgriLife Extension stirred up Seasoned Rice for a hungry crowd.

SEASONED RICE

  • 1 cup long-grain rice (not instant)
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons dehydrated onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 cups water

Mix the dry ingredients all together in a small bowl.   Bring water to a boil, then add dry ingredients.  REDUCE heat to low; cover pan with lid.  Simmer about 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.

Makes 6 servings – 1/2 cup each serving.
