Good Morning Jill!
It is a beautiful Sunday morn and I am still sleepy headed and pleasantly “worn out” after my big week of baking and selling at the market! I just want to let you know that I feel SO honored to be a part of the market. Ya’ll have welcomed me so much and your visitors at the market are so nice and pleasant. I am thrilled about the street musicians and entertainers as well. Growing up in Big D I have shopped farmers markets since my 20′s (and that is a LONG time). When I moved this way I was so disappointed to not be able to find home grown produce or beef for that matter! I mean after all we are in cattle country! Seemed everywhere I turned the answer always was we can get at “The Big W superstore” so why bother?! I feel, as Dylan reminded us so long ago, the times they are a changing. So many young people and folks my age and up are realizing what GARBAGE goes into our food products from factory farming. I know more folks are going back to the slow food movement, they just have to be reminded as to why and what for. I do beleive we can help to heal our planet one person at a time, we just have to get the word out! See ya next week! Oh! Search The Dessert Lady on facebook to see pix of the bakery here in Cooper and to see some trully yummy creations! Peace, Love & Light, Deborah
I really enjoyed talking with you on Saturday. It was good to see your booth almost completely sold out. I love to see someone put their time into a project that pays off. Saturday was beautiful weather and people really seemed to be having a good time. I hope to see you next Saturday. Hopefully you can make it to the Internet Business Group meeting in Lou Viney’s at 11am. If not, I’ll try to catch up with you later in the day.
We’re SO glad to have you at the farmers’ market! And boy, do we have to show up early to get our hands on your specialty items! Your goodies sell out FAST!
I saw a little girl eating one of your cupcakes last Saturday. A grown up asked her for a bite and you should have seen the look on her face. You can tell she was thinking, “Uh, in your dreams!” I couldn’t help laugh out loud.
Never ask a woman to share her chocolate confections, no matter her age.
