FIRST ANNUAL PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST AT THE FARMERS MARKET
Saturday, October 3, 2009
Bring your pumpkins already carved from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Judging to begins at 10:30 a.m. Winners will be announced at 11:00.
We will be judging by age groups - 8 to 10-years, 11 to 13-years, 14 to 17-years and adults (the really big kids.)

Dipsy Dames of Texas Fame – specialty dips, pepper jelly, pickles, jalapenos, raspberry lemonade, peach lemonade, cornbread mixes, cheese-ball mixes, and fresh eggs from Riley Springs.
Elua Zoniga – fresh tamales
JC’s Cookies – Homemade cookies, brownies and specialty dog treats
Love At First Slice - beef brisket sold by the pound, cold smoked cheeses (habenero, pepper jack, colby, Swiss & sharp cheddar) smoked with Cherry wood
Patsy Yates – unique fruits and vegetables. This week spotlights Isreal Melons and yellow tomatoes that are acid free.
Seven Seas Coffee Roasting Company – fresh roasted whole bean coffee, brewed coffee, refreshing smoothies, espresso base drinks
Sloans Creek Farm – Texas grass-fed beef, lamb, goat, pastured pork, wild-caught salmon, and local honey
SW Farm – fresh baked breads – sourdough, rye, cinnamon raisin, plus sandwiches (pastrami and jalapeno chicken salad)
The Dessert Lady – offers special occasion cakes, cinnamon rolls, breakfast muffins, black coffee cake, chocolate pound cake, cupcakes, cookies, and sweet breads.

Seven Seas Coffee Roasting Company is hosting a coffee tasting! Coffee beans produce as many aromas and palate pleasing notes, just as many fine wines and cheeses. Come taste fresh roasted whole bean coffee and discover that not all coffee beans not the same.
Patsy Yates is hosting a pumpkin coloring contest and will be supply small pumpkins and paint pens for your young ones to come color.
